My real name is “Mitthu”, I was hatched on 27 Feb 2017. You can do the math now ?

I’m young, smart, and very talkative parrot, I would swear if hear the noises, I love to sing, dance, and do funny acts.

I never had any social media account or posted anything on the internet. My friends advised me I should have social media accounts as I’m not an ordinary parrot and I’m very unique in many ways.

So, I decided to join the internet world and see how people will react to me. I made my first account on TikTok platform, after posted few videos I noticed people are loving them and showing their love in the comments.

Viral On TikTok

My videos started going viral on Tiktok and that is how people gave me the name of “Tiktok Parrot”.

On TikTok my most watched videos are where I swear and meowing (apparently I miss my kitty friend, which died a few months back). I love to sing Pakistani patriotic song, the following facts make me unique as a parrot;

1)    Speak 4 languages, English, Urdu/ Hindi, Pashto, and Arabic

2)   I say Salama Alikum/ Hello (Greetings) and Habibi very clearly & loudly

3)    I Sing & performs funny waving motions

4)    Meowing like a kitten

5)    Saying “Hello Tiktok” in a very funny way and makes everyone laugh

6)    Teasing my parakeet friend but mostly he is the one annoying me πŸ™

7) I have huge collection of words vocabulary and complete phrases

8) Various notifications sounds & emergency siren sound

9) I sing Pakistan’s patriotic song, not camera shy at all

10)    Swear a lot ?

These all things make me a silly, smart parrot who loves to talk and knows how to put a smile on others’ faces.

In addition to my silly vocalizations, I like to have funny moments with my companion parakeet, especially over the food we both make silly moves to tease each other.

With my amazing talking abilities and funny antics, if you are a parrot lover then my videos will keep you entertained!

My favorite place to talk at home is my main perch next to the wall with two beautiful paintings behind.

I can convey that African Grey parrots are deserving of immeasurable amounts of patience, nurturing, and companionship. This is my website, specially designed to inform you about parrots’ care and also entertain parrot lovers.

According to my keeper, living with a parrot is a big commitment. Parrots live a very long time. A parrot such as me (African Grey) can live to be 50 or 60 years old. Many larger parrots like Macaws can live to be 100 years old.

They all require a lot of care, proper nutrition, training, time, and patience. Parrots need a lot of attention and lots of toys and activities to keep from being bored. Parrots are also expensive, a large cage is an investment, and plenty of play perches to spend out of cage time.

Luckily, I do not go inside the cage as my keeper is keeping me 24 hrs open and I have my places at home to sit, relax & scream πŸ˜›

Specialized veterinarian care is also required for parrots. Most of all they require your companionship and a forever home.

Many people decide after the first few years of parrot ownership that the responsibility is too great and the parrots become neglected and sometimes abandoned. When that happens they are sent to parrot rescue facilities to be adopted by a new family or some spend their lives in sanctuaries.

It is often said, β€œHaving a parrot is much like raising a raising 2-year-old child for the rest of your life!” So before getting a parrot please make sure you can make the commitments as well to take care of them.

African grey parrots are one of the smartest bird species and are also known as one of the best talking/mimicking species.

Not all African Grey parrots are intelligent, same as humans, some greys can be extremely intelligent and luckily I am one of them

As I have an extensive verbal vocabulary and can mimic animals and other sounds very clearly and loudly.

In January 2021, I become famous when my videos went viral on TikTok, two well known news agencies contacted my keeper if they can get the rights to use my content. However, my keeper is still thinking about it πŸ™

As of now, I have over 5.5M likes and more than 300K fans on my  TikTokParrot account.

This website will be regularly updated with the news & views, I will be sharing not only my content about me, but also sharing my experiences with you. So that if you are also a parrot keeper, you can get knowledge or share your knowledge with me.

Message from the “TiktokParrot” Mitthu keeper;

I adopted “TiktokParrot” Mitthu when he was less than a year old, as the previous keeper could not take care of him. To this day I do not know whether “TiktokParrot” Mitthu was a captured bird or whether he was bred in captivity.

Our aim should be to take good care of our pets, pets are not just here to please us, pets give us little joys without any greed and those little joys make us happy emotionally. We have taken their freedom to fly or run in the wilds, therefore we have to pay back for their sacrifices by taking care of them.

The reason I have started this website is to share information and my own experience living with an African Grey Parrot, also I started getting lots of direct messages & comments on Tiktok, it was not easy for me to reply to every individual user. So, I thought I would start this website and get connected with the Grey lovers.

As you might know African greys have their own unique needs that need to be considered, and since they are fairly uncommon pets, information about them is not that readily available. You are not as likely to have a neighbor or friends with whom you can exchange information and experiences about African grey parrots as you are for cats or dogs, for example.

If you have anything to say then please leave a comment, even if it is to just say hello. If you have any questions then please ask and I will try to help to the best of my ability.

I have written a post about him so that other people do not make the same mistake I made. Else you can share the information with your friends who owe pets. So that we can spread more awareness & save many other lives. I do not want to see anyone else pet dies because An Avocado Killed My African Grey Parrot

  1. I’ve had my gray for 44 yrs and he was a year old when I got him, as his eyes were just beginning to change color. I’m very fortunate to have him for so long. His name is Buddy,
