  1. I grew up breeding and hand raising exotic birds. I delt with dozens of breeds and dozens of Greys over the years and had them as pets too. I will be the first to say, you know what’s good about having an African Grey as a pet? Absolutely nothing. They are horrible pets. They are loud, destructive, messy and panic stricken. I absolutely hate seeing anyone promoting keeping them as pets. There will always be the crazy bird lady types whose entire life revolves around their bird, but beyond that one type of person, birds make horrible pets and Greys are the worst. The entire industry should be shut down.

    • Hi Jason,
Thanks your comment, I’m sorry to read you think that way, however, I would say everything has own opinion and it does not mean if we agree with something that is always correct.
Like us (humans), not all are good, there are good and evil people around us. Same thing is with Greys too, there can be very aggrasive, very loud, very sweet and very calm.
My grey (TiktokParrot) was different and unique. I loved my bird and I would always remember him, he was my best friend throughout the time when I had no one.
I’m not here to promote greys, the reason I started this website/ blogs, because I want to spread awareness. My 99% readers who visit this site are grey owners. They need information and they learn from my posts, how to take care of their bird, what to feed and what not to feed.
I do not want any pet, especially a grey owner to make the same mistake that I made, I still suffer because of my bird loss. I am still hurt, these are not just blog posts, they are my feelings, emotions when I write about greys, it gives me a console that you might not understand.
